On The Issues
My Priorities

Economy and Taxes
My number one priority in the Legislature will be building a strong opportunity economy. This means cutting red tape, protecting property rights, promoting energy development, and making Montana an inviting place to do business. Strong businesses create good paying jobs for locals.

I believe in low taxes and responsible government spending. If there is a budget shortfall, the government should spend less - not tax more.

Housing
Montana was recently identified as the least affordable state in the country when comparing average incomes to housing costs. Our young people cannot afford homes, causing many of them to leave the state.

We must simplify zoning laws and reduce burdens to building in Montana. Increasing housing development will decrease costs. And, since property taxes are based on property values, they will come down as well.

Education
As a graduate of Great Falls Public Schools, from Sacajawea Elementary to CMR High School, I believe first in supporting a strong public education. Education should be handled by local school boards, not by overreaching state and federal governments. Our schools should emphasize the trades and real-world work experience.

I also believe parents should be involved in their children's education, and will support their right to school choice, including charter schools and homeschooling.

Second Amendment
I am a strong supporter of our right to bear arms. I am a proud gun owner for hunting, recreation, and home defense. I will not support any legislation attempting to limit Montanans' constitutional rights.

Law Enforcement
Our local police, county sheriffs, firefighters, and first responders keep our towns safe. I believe in supporting local law enforcement and being tough on crime.

I will also support local law enforcement working with ICE to enforce immigration law.

Recreation
I love Montana. I am a fly fisherman, hunter, skier, backpacker, golfer, and expert river-floater. I will always defend our way of life, protect public lands, and promote hunting and fishing access.
