Highlights from the President and Speaker's Golf Tournament

I had the honor of being invited to play in the President and Speaker's Golf Tournament in Helena over the weekend. I was the new guy, but my teammates were very welcoming and we had a great time. My squad included Senator Mark Noland from Kalispell, and Scott and Drew from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana.

We finished the tournament in second place, only one stroke behind Attorney General Austin Knudsen's team. We got the last laugh, however, when I knocked off the AG to win the longest putt competition.

On and off the golf course, I have been impressed with how supportive and friendly the Republican legislators have been. Even the most senior legislators have taken time out of their day to call and introduce themselves, offer advice, and introduce me to other folks in Helena. I look forward to being part of this team - both on the links and in the Capitol.

All of the proceeds from this tournament will be used to benefit conservative campaigns in Montana.
